Winner: Wiet!

The French Open 2016 is over and boy was it crowded at the top this year! The level was very high and the competition razor sharp. To separate the top dogs we had to look at all the five runs of each dog, sometimes down to drive since even OLF was the same in some instances, and still only one point differed between the winner and the runner-up. All the dogs and handlers who made it to the top in this very intense competition, running on 3 different fields with different challenges in each, are truly outstanding! So we are happy and proud to announce that the winner of the French Open 2016 is

WIET VAN DONGEN, Belgium, with Blaze, followed by

  • Eliane Verboven, also Belgium, with Mona

  • Ron Snoeck, Netherlands, with Conquest Mossie

  • Mattia Monacchini, Italy with ViV and again

  • Wiet van Dongen, Belgium, this time with BaW Sean.

The complete results are posted here.

It was so strange to be just me and the dogs in the field again tonight. What wonderful days this has been; warm memories to keep us through the winter!
